Estate Merlot cultivated with fully integrated sustainable agricultural techniques. This grape naturally prefers drained terrains with partial sun exposure. It seems to have found good grounds in our hillside vineyards in Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento, where the delicate and fragrant notes of its fragile bouquet found proper protection.
Thanks to soft pressing and state-of-the-art winemaking, this wine stands out for its uniquely warm flavors, expressing at full the arid Sicilian terroir. It features a ruby red color, an intense fragrance with fruity hints of red cherries and wild berries. The palate is dry and complex, enriched by pleasantly light tannins.
Versatile complement to most foods, especially roast pork, pork loin, red meats, flavorful soups like borsch, dishes featuring garlic and mushroom, mild to aged cheeses including Gorgonzola or Cheddar.
